Please Help: Question On Visconti Wall Street Nib

Hi All,

 

I recently won a bid off ebay (Seller: Sirtoti from Spain) for a Visconti Wall Street fp in grey celluloid. However, upon closer inspection I noticed that the nib was not a Visconti nib. Instead, the nib says VICEROY. Since this is my first Visconti pen I have no prior experience with this manufacturer. Can someone please explain whether I should be concerned that this is not an authentic nib from Visconti, or perhaps it's a limited or special edition nib? Also, this version of the Wall Street fountain pen is not a limited edition. This ebay seller has great reviews which is why I felt comfortable with the bidding process. Just want to make sure that I wasn't sold a pen without the original attachments (also this pen is sold as is without the original box. I ended paying for $260 in total; as the pen is still in the seller's possession the early I'm able to find an answer the better.)

According to the seller, this 14k medium nib, branded Viceroy was supposedly made by Visconti for the jewelry company. I have not been able to find any information on the internet relating to this claim. I'm knocking myself for not paying attention to the details ... hoping someone can shed some light on this. Visconti does make a lot of pens for others. This might be one of them. It looks like a legit Bock nib and it looks like it's also stamped with the right gold marks. When you receive it, you might want to make sure it rights and it's truly gold. If it is, there should be nothing to worry about.

the title says Viceroy by Visconti, and there is a Viceroy sticker on the pen shown by Parcival.

It would indeed look as if Visconti has made this pen for Viceroy, and had the nib stamped Viceroy, so to me it looks legit.

There is another one here, again from Spain, but more expensive.

the description says:

It is made from red resin, and its trim is palladium-plated.

Well, I'm really late for this post ^^u. 

 

It's me, I was the one selling it.

Just so you know, Viceroy is a watch & jewelry company with a wide presence in Spain (and many more countries, but it's originally from Spain, so...). They belonmg to the same group of Sandoz watches (Munreco).

 

Visconti is an italian brand famous for making Celluloid pens for other brands (good examples would be the Rotring 1928 LE or the Kaweco Sport Ars Scribendi).

The pens always come with the proper stickers ("by Visconti"), and the pens are exactly the same models as the orioginal Visconti's (be it the Opera's or the Wall Street's). In fact, the pens even have the magnetic "tassie", and the converters that come inside are Visconti's. I  didn't keep the pen because of two main reasons: I'm a Fine nib user and I don't enjoy metal grips. The original price of these pens was 345€, not far from the original Visconti's pricing. I had the tag, so... Just so you know, I sold the pen but ended bitting again the bait with two Opera's... xD. 

These "Wall Street" pens were also made for a New York Jewelry brand. It was a woman's name which began with R, but right now I can't recall it. I found it by chance while I was looking myself for some info on these Viceroy's around 2010.
