huh, that's interesting that the clip is brass.

I dig your mod! Might be a bit weaker, but as long as it doesn't break, great work!

It's such a damn shame this pen's cap is so prone to cracking. One of mine has developed a few hairlines in the middle of the body but they've been stable for months, and my other is still fine. If it weren't for that, I'd say the edge is one of the very best beginner fountain pens ever.

I like the pen. I hope it will not crack soon. I found out Kaco have some other very good looking pens.

It is such a cool pen, I want one. Was the one used in the video a fine or medium nib? Which seller is "Bobby on ebay"? I like the idea of a shorter delivery time.

I'd probably pass on it for now, unless you're willing to risk getting a crack in a couple months.

Thanks, sounds like you have cooled on the pen due to the cap cracking. Darn.

Well, I did check on the two boxed ones I had in my desk that I intended to give as gifts, and they've been sitting there for about 4 months. Neither has cracked.

And the other one I have in regular use hasn't cracked either. So 3/4 of mine haven't cracked.

I still really like the pen's design, so I guess just buy one with a little bit of caveat emptor.
