3 Oysters Dancheong

3 Oysters is a Korean ink maker that has only recently come to my knowledge. I know little about this brand. This one, Dancheong, seems to be part of a Colours of Seoul collection. More about it could be read on Goulet, for example.

Fellow FPN-er inkantadora kindly shared a sample with me. Dancheong is a rather unsaturated red ink that looks somewhat greyish, pastel, brick-ish. It's definitely NOT the kind of red I like.

The flow is rather wet, and the lubrication is okay. Seems to be somewhat resistant to water. There is this slight dark halo around the edge but not really noticeable in writing.

Great review! If you mention an ink colour you don't like, I usually pay special attention (we seem to have opposite tastes in our inks ;-). But this time I am in agreement - I'm not convinced by this ink. If it were more greyish though, I would probably like it.

It's too muted for me. BUT THAT PURPLE BLACK witchy ink is right up my alley.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
