Nib Alignment; Which Tine Doe You Move Lower Or Upper?

Just curious, when aligning the tines on a nib which one do you prefer to move; the one that's too high or the one that's too low? I tend to raise the low one up as I find it easier. Sometimes I consider if the pen needs to be a bit more wet or dry but usually do what's easiest. How about you?

Shouldnt you be returning the one that is out of place? Of course they could both be out of place then you work on both.

If the tips are tight, raise the low one.

 

If there is a gap, lower the high one.

 

If the nib slit is good, move both in the needed direction.
