Montblanc Pen Case

Dear all,

I have just received the Visconti Dreamtouch 3 pen case and it's very nice. I have never owned a Montblanc pen case, and would like to get a few. Which of these would you recommend? It needs to be able to fit a 146, 149, Patron of Art, and Homer in terms of size.

As for the Montblanc Soft Grain 12 pen case, how strong is the magnet? and is the leather too soft to be put in a hand carry/luggage? I'm thinking of using it as storage at home, and perhaps for travelling.

I have also heard that the Sartorial Foldable Magnet is designed for ladies? A friend also told me that the holders are very tight.. so he just puts his Collodi inside without strapping it.

Thank you,

James

Hello,

I have the Montblanc Soft Grain 12 pen case and I'm happy with it and it is fine to store all size of pens except the Heritage 1914 that is too long to close the case. The quality is really good and the magnet is strong to keep it perfectly close. I'm using it to store inked pens on my desk. This is a photo with part of my collection in it to have an idea of the pen size in it:

I think there shouldn't have any issue to put it in luggage.

I have also the Urban Spirit pen pouch in 1, 2 and 6 pens but they are not made to store big pens. So for a 146, 149 there is no issue but for special edition as PoA or the Homer I'm not sure they will be well in them. I'm using daily the 2 pens version to store my Heritage Serpent and Spider and they are perfect but the pens are thin:

I don't have the Sartorial but in it you can store an Heritage 1914 so it means you can store any pens :) For me it is not a specific lady model, it depends on the color you will choose but for me it is also a case for men too.

This is perfect, I have been for days reviewing different pen cases, Albiet I was going for Montblanc I'm also interested with the Pilot Somes, I've been searching for the Montblanc Flip flap and I've recently seen a Montblanc Oblong Pochette for sale but I have no idea if it would fit a MB 146 or MB 149.

Not a fancy pouch, really not, but the Montblanc Siena 3-pens pouch is built like a rock and holds very large pens.

For two pens have, a look at the J.S. Staedtler Chevreau Brown Deluxe Leather Pouch. It is a very elegant and understated pouch, in very dark brown leather, with a unique (as far as I know) and equally elegant way to close the pouch. Super strong, and very spacious.
