Atypical Safety Disassembly

Hi,

 

This is an interesting safety from the UK. I am trying to knock out the pin from the side but it wont budge. Am I doing it wrong? I am presuming this safety is a mix of two systems to disassemble it (1) knock out the lateral pin (like an MB safety) and then (2) knock out helix rod from the butt (like a Waterman safety)

 

Am I correct?

All set... the pin wouldnt come out so I drilled the hole out slidgtly wider and then knocked it out. And then knocked out the rod from the butt. I cleaned the pen, changed the seal and put it back together. Checked for leaks for a few hours. We’re good!
