The recent Malaysian LEs makes me wonder if the country has a large group of fountain pen users.

IIRC Indonesia has not, but it's another country.

Making inroads into the Asian markets which is the same reason for the EF nib withdrawal from western markets.

Colors seem to be the standard Lamy range.

Could be a new marketing tactic. Maybe a Singapore or HongKong LE next...

Nothing too dissimilar to Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore etc etc afaik... today FP users very niche & minority vs the ballpoint. You spot your usual MontBlanc carriers & your other luxury brands in corporate life; most brands can be found but Lamy products ain't particularly cheap... guess if importer orders enough anything can be available.

Hermes Birkin handbags otoh... I suspect Malaysia would be world leading... :D

What a neat idea! By your description, I thought it was going to be 1 pen with all 4 colors on it.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
