Going To Buy A Conid - Please Show Me Yours!

I don't have photos right now ( and they look like the others) but I have a Slimline and a Minimalistica, both with the demo middle.

The Slimline is delrin on the section and the cap, while the M just has a Delrin cap.

If you are sensitive to slippery sections, I would stay away from the Delrin. I love the SL but find it is a little too slick. The M on the other hand, is clear right down to the section, and it is easier for me to write with. Both are great pens though.

Just my two cents.......

Received my second Conid on fountain pen day. Kingsize Flat top titanium demo with rhodianated F nib. The nib on my first Conid was much better, which was tuned by Francis.

Received the Modern Decoband a week later. Much nicer to write with. The nib on Conid seems pedestrian in comparison.

Honestly, Conid needs to be open to using nibs from other brands, like Pelikan and MB instead of sticking to bock. Bock is just too ordinary compared to others. Tuning isn't going to help. It's the basic character of the nib, the way nib is made.

I have both pelikans and Montblanc and love both, but in reality the Bock Titanium nibs on my Conids is far better than any of my Pelikans and most of my MBs! They are among my favorite nibs! Guess that is why there are so many brands, we each like different things. 😎

My first Conid had a titanium nib, which was nice. I got a rhodium plated one this time which isn't as great. I asked for extra flow on this, and it's still not as wet as the titanium one.

I guess I'll have to get a spare titanium nib now.

Bock Titanium nibs on my Conid

+ 100! Semi-flex. Wet. Shading, Colour Variation. Shading!

Taught me to write with the lightest touch.

Add lightness and simplicate.

That is so true! I can't seem to adjust to my Ti Conid nibs and have a gold on order. And for me, Pelikan nibs are the ones I go back to as a happy place.

Glad to hear that. I have 5 modern M800s, but they just dont do it for me. However I totally love the nibs on the vintage Pelikans in my collection! My 100/101/140s are spectacular!
