Quality Of Parker Vectors From Luxor (India)

Hello,

I'm asking for your help to know if the pen i received is indeed a genuine one, even though it's made by Luxor in India.
I had some french made parker but not anymore so i'd like to know in this case if it seems genuine to you and if there is a huge difference between french made and indian made parker pens like the vector. ( quality of the nib and the pen in general ). Here are some photos i took.

Looks legit.

The blister should have a holographic seal of sorts with the Parker logo on it.

Test it and let us know how it fares. IIRC French Vectors have nibs that tend to be quite thick, with F being M, and M being on the broad side of M.

Thank you for your answer. Are you talking about this ? And what about the quality difference? Is it only some esthetic things or even the writing quality?

Hi, you have the pen in hand, can you test the pen and let us know about the quality, how you feel?

In any case, the Parkers made by Luxor are for sale to customers in India and Nepal only. This should be clearly written on the package and the pen is genuine "Parker" legally. The pens are mass market pens and are made to a price point, so you get what you pay for.

Elsewhere you may get Parkers made in China or in France, depends on the geographical location.

In case you wish to write to me, pls use ONLY email by clicking here. I do not check PMs. Thank you.

Your Vector is fine judging from the box, as long as it`s not a counterfeit it should be equal to any other vector in terms of writing(french, british etc). They`re glass smooth with a touch of tooth when rotating the nib past its sweet spot. In time the plastic caps tend to crack and the metal ones will develop some degree of play, but even when that happens the writing is not affected, i used mine almost everyday for ~3 years. I still have it

I`m really surprised to find replica vectors on ebay, only 4 dollars a piece. I would imagine they are very close to the original. Over the years i have had several replicas of parker fps and some of the fakes they are producing now are insanely close to the originals(at least in terms of how well they write, the quality of the lacquers they use might differ etc). Time will tell. Anyway, they will confuse even an experienced user. Is this really a fake pen or am i in the twilight zone? :D

Thank you for answering :) as long as the writing quality is equal it's fine for me. Fun fact i'm french but I live abroad so i had to buy it from Amazon, and there the majority comes from India ( even if it's not specified ). If someone else knows if there are major différences in the writing quality i'll be happy to hear you.
