Le Petit Prince Happy Holidays Edition

Uncial

Recommended Posts

I saw this on La C. du Compte but unfortunately there are no close up pictures. Went to Montblanc's own website and the pen wasn't even on it!

It's a champagne gold version, but I couldn't figure out if it was the amazing blue metal and lacquer version or the slightly matted plastic for the blue parts.

Has anyone seen any close up pictures?

The only difference is the the champagne gold trim and nib.

The body is still made out of precious resin.

I was interested in this piece and asked a few retailers for a hands-on video.

Considering that this is a product that has not yet been officially released (but is not likely to be so for long), please respect those who may wish to be surprised and do not post photos or distinctive details of this model. Thank you.

I did wait until it was on sale in stores. The boutique near me has it but I haven;t managed to get in and see it in person. It seemed a somewhat quiet release.

I updated my post; the release is now official and the set is on the MB website.

What is 'Champagne gold'?

Is it just the new name for gold?

No, it's a slightly reddish-orangey gold, somewhere in between gold and red gold.

The Strauss Donation Pen also has it, as well as the Homer. Look for Reed's post in the Homer thread for a comparison.

I saw it this morning at my local reseller and it is pretty nice in this trim version. It is the same kind of trim than on the burgundy version of JFK or on the Homer too.

And the "Le Petit Prince" book included is a very nice edition with bible paper as the same quality than on "La Pléiade" book.

I just received mine today.

The packaging is very beautiful and is similar to the JFK 1917.

It's the same blue resin but with a champagne gold trim. The nib is two-tone 18K, which is a nice change.

Hello i found some good pictures over this site https://www.wheelersluxurygifts.com/product/montblanc/meisterstuck-le-petit-prince-happy-holiday-set there is another picture of the real world in appelboom fan page on facebook.

I just bought mine from them and have to say they are an amazing store!!!

To enter some detail about the pen, it is made from precious resin, the difference is that it is champagne gold plated, and it has a 18 ct two tone nib (inverted tones compared to the solitaire nib).

The picture on the Montblanc website does not do justice to this pen
