I'd rather have the windowed Wing Sung 601 than the 348 I saw in any colour, frankly, but that's just me.

But a 348 in 52-Galaxy color would look amazing. As long as Penbbbs fixes the suction issue with the original release and offers some great acrylics, I'm totally down. I already have two 601s haha.

Purple??.. Or just bad lighting on Blue.... LOL... :D

Good point! The Chinese name for the color didn't help me much either. The first character can mean green, blue, or black (dark) while the second character is "lotus." I'm assuming then that it means "dark lotus" which would support the purple.

An "Amber is a Cat" version just went up for sale on Taobao. I guess this pen must be a hit.

That's how I feel about the Niangao and Galaxy 309. At least there's a decent chance the Galaxy will be reissued.

Any feedback/updates/reviews from anyone who has bought the 469? Do the eyedroppers tend to leak or burp much?

Haven't use it much.. but I have the original model.. a Jonathan Brook I bought 5-6 years ago (you didn't think the double nib was a first time thing did you?)

My Jonathan Brook one is extremely similar.. shape and all, just the acrylic is different. You won't get much burping because the reservoir is quite small. For me is great, I switch inks very often, so I don't like large reservoirs.

I have a broad and a stub in mine. Need to figure out how to switch nibs on this one.

Thanks, Cyber6!

Nope, didn't think the double nib was a first. Just the first one when the timing was right for me to (hopefully) get one the next time they're posted to Easy. I really enjoyed the functionality of a double pointed (custom) ballpoint I had years ago; this would be the perfect next generation of that idea, for me.

I don't like particularly large ink capacity for the same reason you mention. (Esp. w/my preferred F/EF nibs, an ink fill can last forever ...) I hadn't thought of the part about small reservoir-->not much burping, so thanks for pointing that out. Useful feedback.

Thanks

So far so good. No leaking or burping. I'm adjusting to the size and shape as time goes by. I like having a RB on one end and a nib on the other.

Thanks! I like the RB/FB combo option.

I've been using mine for long note-taking sessions. So far, no issues. I'm going to change out the nibs as they both write too fine for me--almost an extra fine--especially on bagasse or one of my nicer papers. I got the amber off of eBay from the official Pennbbs store. Thrilled with it. Think I'll be even more thrilled with Goulet #6 nibs--probably in black.

Thank you!

I really like EF nibs, so what is kind of a negative for you will probably work for me very well.

mine arrived in the wrong color (I ordered the cracked ice and got a green jade) but I actually dig the color more than the one I ordered.

The pen is neat. Great for someone who needs the two in one, like a teacher (blue in one side, red in the other) or needs to use the pen for multiple things (it comes with a rollerball insert that works well, so great for signing checks or carbon paper) or if you wanna go nuts and put a flex nib into one side and a normal nib in the other.

Very girthy but well balanced in the hand, the fit and finish is superb as always.

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)

I just spent Thanksgiving correcting a multitude of beginner German essays with mine. Akkerman Delfts Blauwe in one side, Monteverde Rose Noir in the other. The Akkerman is erasable so it was fantastic, and I could use the Rose Noir for those nutter who wrote in blue ballpoint. The tips are fine enough that I can use them on the crappy paper the university supplies too, without much bleedthrough or feathering.
