Century Pen Company

I am trying to glean some information on the Century Pen Company which I understand was in Neenah, Wisconsin only twenty or so miles from Parker in Janesville. There is some speculation that George Parker was a director of the Company having invested $10,000 in the Company.

I have posted some photographs of a Century Duropoint Fountain Pen In a miniature Duofold style. The pen is 3 inches long uncapped and 4.25 inches capped. It has a 14ct Gold Parkette Nib. You will note that this is a ringtop pen missing the ringtop. The imprint is Century/Durapoint it is weak but legible.

I would precise any information you may have regarding the Company or the pen.

Thanks.

John

I am going to talk to a man who collects these pens on Sunday at the Elkhorn WI flea market to find out what I have.

A century thumb filler pen. Barrel rotates to open / close the thumb filler window. Not in good shape sadly :( although the pen does work.

My mother's great grandfather owned Century Pen in Whitewater, WI.  Humphrey was his last name.  My mother told the story that Parker asked Humphrey to go into business with him, but Humphrey decided he'd rather run Century Pen independently.  Later, Humphrey's son had a stationary shop in Whitewater.  I have some Dixon pencils from the shop that have Century Pen on the nickel cases.
