Notebook & Ink Combinations That Smear (Midori Md)

Specifically, the Midori MD (cotton/paper). I have several inks that smear on this paper (even many months later with clean hands), but do not do so moments after application in many other brands of notebook.

 

Inks which specifically smear in the Midori MD for me...

* Diamine Autumn Oak.

* Diamine Oxblood.

* Diamine Merlot.

* Noodler's Golden Brown.

* Noodler's Blue Black.

* Noodler's Red Black.

 

Has anyone else noticed similar? Something about the cotton content must not suck in all of the dyes, and they separate from the water.
