Wing Sung 626 Review

They go in and out of stock as the celluloid becomes available. If you find a white dot model, snatch it up. The Green in particular is a stunner.

Green is easy to find...it's the Blue that's been eluding me!

Yea... on eBay the blue seems to be out of stock for the people selling this pen. So I picked up the green and if I like it I will add the blue later when it's more available.

That pen ain't acrylic. It's gen-you-whine celluloid.

I was one of the lucky few to get it in green with the white dot. It's a damn good pen, the only part I dislike is knowing that the nib is made from such bad metal that it bends. It's not a problem, but it's there. The rest of the pen has been perfect for me.

Wow. I thought celluloid was an expensive material because of the making process. How is it even possible to make a sub $30 pen out of it?

Sorry, I realize this is an old post, but I was considering this pen, and hence came across this thread....

My 626, the stunning red model, came with a very leaky converter; I tried sealing up possible sites for leaking with silicon grease, to no avail. I bought a 3.4mm converter that was identified as suitable for Wing Sung pens, but it was too big to fit snugly. No converters or cartridges that I've fished out of my ink drawer fits. Is there any current guidance for a substitute?

(Confession: having ordered the supposed WS-appropriate converter, I binned the original to avoid confusing it for a viable converter. Now I realise I should have taken snaps and measured it, but…)

A regular Parker converter does not fit my 626.

Currently inked: Targa, fluted gold / Pelikan M400 / Parker 45 (Steel &Olive) / Sheaffer 440 Blue
