The Nemosine Fission has a metal body, is heavy, and looks like it could survive the heat death of the universe - another reason to travel with it!

That being the case, I suggest not leaving one on the dash in your car in an Arizona summer and then picking it up barehanded.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted my travel buddies, but I broke my no-new-pens streak (the Kaweco) and thought I’d share.

Business trip:

Opus 88 Koloro w/ Noodlers Heart of Darkness

Montegrappa Elmo w/ Diamine Evergreen

Kaweco Sport Piston Filler w/ Edelstein Tanzanite - *New pen, first trip*

All behaved themselves and arrived clean

Over the weekend, went to a weekend thing where people were teaching a variety of fiber-related stuff.  Brought three pens with me: the purple Pilot Falcon, SF nib, with Sailor Souboku; Noodler's Vulcan Coral FPC, flex nib, with Noodler's Legal Lapis; and one of the recently rehabbed Parker 51 Vacs (the black one with the name engraved on it), F? nib, still with Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue.

On the way there, we stopped at a Sheetz for a break and some woman in the ladies room liked my hat and then got all excited by the Fountain Pen Day pin on it!  Then, when we got to the event, some woman I didn't recognize said "Oh, you're the pen person!" and had her husband send her a screenshot of her pen -- a Levenger Tru-Writer in a light green marble resin.  (I told her that I didn't know a lot about Levenger pens, but knew that there were definitely fans of them on FPN -- as well as my friend of in Spokane, WA).  So who knows -- she might turn up here sooner or later....   I think I talked to a couple of other people about pens over the weekend as well.... As well as geeking about fiber stuff, of course....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."
