What is "bashing" about opining that their inks have been uneven in quality of color tone? I have Lamy products which I enjoy a lot. But I have disliked several of their ink decisions. No big deal, no bashing. If other people like them, awesome!!!!

Bashing is subjective and can easily come across as such on a strongly worded opinion.

 

It is just a forum to share opinions on a topic of mutual interest.

 

If someone does not like AN/MY opinion, no problem.

They shouldn't lose sleep over it because neither are the manufacturers.

It could seem that way because Lamy can do a lot better than their present form and hence the expectations are high.

 

An exciting launch would definitely help correct the course.

I think this is the heart of the matter.

 

We're skeptical because of mismanaged launches of many past LE inks. They explicitly told the USA market 'no more XF nibs' for a time because Asia was going to be their focus. During a lot of this tumult they switched distributors in the USA.

 

Most of this applies to the USA, I can't speak to their home market and clearly they have a propensity to Asia for now, but those make me a bit leery about a company. Also, this is one of the largest fountain pen companies in the world. We saw through the Goulet series they aren't some podunk operation either! So, it's frustrating with the history that they come out and say 10 new inks by year's end without a large grain of salt.

IMO, 10 colors is probable but 10 inks is a pipe dream.

 

I have serious doubts but would be extremely happy to be proven wrong.

I would love to know if the bottle has the same funnel as the present ones.

I doubt these inks target the lower priced pen lines.
