New Montblanc Inks: Web Grey And Homer Greek Blue

Thank you so very much for your kindness. With computer and phone screens it can be hard to see differences in ink. Your additional insights are very helpful.

Now, let's get back to creating a Fritz Schimpf 149 cursive italic 100 pen. Or a small signature cursive italic would work even better! ;)

+1!

What a wonderful proposal!

Either such pen would be a no-brainer purchase.

Yes, it's very kind of the Fritz Schimpf staff to provide this information with helpful comparison images.

Many thanks!

Put me on that list as well! I brought my 146 Special Italic to the Dallas Pen Club meeting this morning, where it was much admired.

Great!

I'd be highly interested in such a pen.

This thread has been brought to the attention of several Montblanc collectors in East Asia.

Two of them said that they'd almost certainly purchase a Montblanc 149 Cursive Italic if it were offered.

That's two in addition to me.

I hope that in due time it may come to pass.

Dear Fritz Schimpf,

May I enquire which pen you used to write that sample with? I very much like the line of it.

Thank you Tom. We will keep this in mind.

And compare to Miles Davis blue ?

Compared to Miles Davis Blue the Homer ink has a richer, stronger blue color and it is less baby and more ocean blue.

Thank you. We used a Pelikan M205 "B" (broad) steel nib with an cursive italic grind done to our specifications.

Thank you for listening to feedback.

If such a pen is ever offered, I'll be sure to buy a couple of bottles of your Fritzrot ink, as it has a lovely color.

Thank you very much.

You must be able to read minds.

Fritzrot has received today three siblings:

gewitterwolke [stormy blue],

sirimiri [rainy grey] and

sundowner [rich orange].

I like the Sundowner and gray the best, I think, but the whole set looks lovely.

When I visited your easy-to-navigate Web site, I saw the three inks joining Fritzrot.

I then came here to mention my interest in them, finding this post.

Thank you for the valuable information and images.

After seeing these, were I to purchase a proposed Fritz Schimpf 149 Cursive Italic, I'd be sure to order all four Fritz Schimpf inks.

I'm in the queue with Zdenek. As are three friends in East Asia who feel that a Cursive Italic 149 is an idea whose time has come.

With Ghost Plane I feel that the new inks are a welcome offering.

I especially appreciate the way that their respective colors are presented in your Web site.

Very, very nice.

Homer famously wrote of the "wine-dark sea", a phrase that has led many to conclude that the ancient Greeks were blind to the colour blue. I was half-expecting Homer Blue to be some shade of burgundy.

Lined paper makes a prison of the page.

Homer Greek Blue is tempting .... I wonder how it compares to Boheme Blue, which is my favourite MB ink?

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)
