Desiderata: Bamf

I was hoping to show you a picture of this new, very sleek looking pen, but it seems that's not an option right now.

 

Lightly brushed, matte back body, gloss, transparent red section and ink window, designed around the Zebra G flex nib with a purpose-designed ebonite feed, but can take any screw-in #6 nib unit. Clipless.

 

Handmade in America by me.

Hey Ruth, I guarantee you it is a true, transparent red.

The section looks different compared to the one that displayed on the desiderata pen website. On the website the section looks way cooler red solid marblelish, while here looks plasticky.

The material of the section MUST have changed...

 

Above the section was described as: true, transparent red.

 

The Web page now describes the section as: Gloss, solid red ebonite,

 

I agree that the current image on the website looks much more appealing than the image above.

 

Looks like an improvement, which is what Pierre tends to do.

I agree, it was an improvement. I wonder if they offers a soft nib, not a full flex zebra G nib.

Kewl: The whole idea of Desiderata pens is to be used for Zebra G nibs.

 

You could look at Fountain Pen Revolution ultra flex nibs with extra flow ebonite feeds.

I try. I don't know how to change the image here, but my current way of doing it is all black and red ebonite. The earlier pen you see pictured above is transparent red acrylic plastic.

Yes, when you buy one of my pens, you get the flex option. You don't have to do Zebra G. You can get regular (JoWo) nibs as well in the standard sizes.

Oh, if you don't want to use the Zebra G nib? No option. That is the flex option.

Pierre I wish you would just cave and put a clip on the BAMF - I really want to have one as a work pen, but my uniform requires pens with clips, since the breast pockets are stupid and pens without clips fall in and go sideways.

 

I would also be super down with a soubriquet in solid clear acrylic. Is that something you can do?

 

The filling system you made for the cocobolo pen is utter genius, BTW. A wood barrel, self filler system with a proper ink window and no hassle.

+1 for the clip suggestion. Actually, anything that would serve as a roll stop. A clipless faceted pen would do that, too
