Latest comparison of my green and teal tones due to recent acquisition of Lamy Amazonite.

Look at how blue-ish it appears next to the nice middle way turquoise of Diamine Steel Blue and especially in comparison to green tones such as Rohrer and Klingner Verdura.

Don't know if I should include Herbin's Gris or not..

Beautiful comparison.  How do the side comparisons line up?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Oh, the real comparison is on the left. The right column is just me messing around and playing "guess the ink" from the left column.

Here, Lamy Amazonite, latest addition Herbin Vert de Gris for @essayfaire, Diamine Salamander, Diamine Steel Blue, and Rohrer Verdigris.

First is the scan fresh out of the scanner, second is color corrected to make it as close as possible to what I see on the page.

The name Vert de Gris is misleading by the way. Vert means green, but the chromatography reveals mostly gray and light blue.

Interestingly, the light blue washes away immediately but the gray is unbothered. Thinking of conducting performance tests on correspondence envelopes.

I think this is why I ended up preferring the R and K.  The Teal looks not only lighter but brighter than the others, but I can't tell if that's just the picture.

A quick note in response to a lovely Amberlea post.  Two teal inks, and one full-on green:
