Does anyone happen to know where the Parker Esprit telescoping pens are made?

Rotring make a very similar pen.

If I remember rightly, Esprit finished production around 2009. I remember going into one of our newspaper/pen/magazine shops, and seeing them reduced to about 25% of price. I went the next day and all were gone.

There is some connection with Rotring making the same or similar pen but I really don't know much more, other than it used the Vector style of nib and feed, which would say it was made in France, as Vectors are today.

From what I remember I once read, Parker bought Rotring and for some time continued to make Esprit, originally Rotring model, under Parker brand.
