Beautiful senior Duofold sets! Thank you for sharing. I have 2 questions which I hope are not rude ones. 1) Do you find 1920s Duofolds in Spain or purchase them from abroad? 2)Secondly, have you seen the actual Gerald Murphy painting you use as an avatar? It's in Dallas. Thanks again for posting.

I only have one modern Duofold, but I'm quite fond of it. It's a custom overlay, done by Michael Fultz, over a blue Centennial.

 

Most of my collection is on the vintage side, and I do have a couple of unusual vintage examples.

I just bought the latest Big Red model with the wide silver coloured band.

 

I really like the engraving on it as well as the colour.

Pleased to answer your questions. I bought most of my pens in Spain, they are all vintage, and I will not buy such pens over the Internet, I have to look them over carefully. On the other hand we host Europe´s largest pen show in Madrid, where we have sellers from all over the world.

 

Years ago another member in this forum brought my attention to the painting which is my avatar. Unfortunately I never had the chance to see it
