New Parker Jotter Fountain Pen

Along with the rest of Parker's pen line up, the Jotter fountain pen seems to be now the last one to also have been updated. I saw this on instagram the other day, with a much better look in their story.

Looks-wise it's a bit like their new IM, but if the new Jotter is like the new IM then they better shouldn't have messed with it, as my old-style IM writes & behaves perfectly, and the new IM dries out within hours.

Parker and their drying-out issue has been going on for what, a decade or so? That should have been fixed ages ago and not be incorporated into new designs, but they seem to view this flaw as good feature!?

Anyway, here's a look at the Jotter, you can't really see much

I also dislike this new clip a lot. The older very slim clips with an obvious arrow are much nicer.

Interesting. It looks more like mixy. The pen the 15 was originally based off. Considering how many of these pens I've had over the years I'll be surevto try one.

I've used the (old) Jotter fp for several years, It uses the same nib and feed as the Vector and several other pens.

I'd say it's good value for money, but it's a small pen, maybe aimed at school use, mostly.

The new version seems to be a redesign, so really need to see one in reality to know anything more, so hope the price is realistic...

I can only see a medium nib listed for online purchases at this point.

Bullet points from the manufacturer:

  • New nib graphic, slimmer nib and bottom to match the updated style Jotter
  • New metal cap tassie
  • Approximately 13cm in length
  • Updated clips
  • Presented in a Parker gift box with care guide and instructions
  • 2 years Parker manufacturer's warranty

May be the packaging is made in France.

That would be illegal in the UK, it is more likely that the pen is assembled in France from parts made elsewhere. .
