Are Pilot 78G Calligraphy Nibs Swappable In The Pilot Prera

I was wondering if anyone knew if the pilot 78G calligraphy nib is the same nib that is in the pilot Prera? I was thinking of getting a 78g and swapping it into a Prera. I like writing with stubs and find the calligraphy nibs to be pretty close to a stub. I would appreciate anyones comparison of the two pens and their nibs.I have shied away from the less expensive Pilots because I am not sure that I would like their steel nibs. I love their 14K nibs but don't want to spend the money for a calligraphy nib for any of the other Pilots. I bought the Parallels and the Lamy Joys but would like a writing pen that has a calligraphy nib. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. All pilot steel nibs are swappable.

If you can't find a 78g for under $10, get a pilot plumix, same stub nib.

Pilot makes the best tipped steel nibs in the business. hands down. always, ALWAYS reliable writers. The stubs, on the other hand, can be a LITTLE hit or miss, and may require a few strokes on 1800 grit sand paper followed by a few strokes on a buffing stick.

If you like the prera enough that you would like to upgrade it to 14k, for about $45 you can get a wing sung 698 with a soft fine 14k nib that fits the pilot feed like a glove, without any tweaks.

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)

Thank you for your response. I bought a Pilot 78g with double B.B. nib. Looking forward to trying it. Now I want some new ink but cannot figure out this site and how to find reviews...used to be easier now it is too complicated for my simple brain. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thank you for the site for the ink review. That is truly a magnificent site. I ordered a Wing Sung 698 with the 14 K nib. I’ll probably get it by the time on 73 but it looks very promising. Of the Chinese pens with a #6 nib I have to sing the praises of Penbbs 308,309 267...The nibs are the same but they are so stunning. I saw a youtube review of the clear acrylic 309-308–267. They look fabulous but I cannot figure out where to get them on eBay. I particularly like the desk pen 267. If anybody can figure out a way to get this acrylic clear desk pen I would appreciate any information you can give me. I intend to swap the nibs for Goulet 1.1 and their broads which are good nibs.
