L'artisan Pastellier Callifolio - Equinoxe(6)

There is so much confusion about exactly what ink this is, that I shall wait until the DC show to buy it. That way I can be sure of getting the bright blue version rather than the teal.

You're welcome to have mine. I will be in the US next month if you want me to bring it with me and mail it to you.

That's most generous of you. I'll PM my address. Thanks!

I was having second thoughts, so I decided to write more with it; on a blank Clairefontaine notebook (grail paper music please) it seems less green than it did yesterday, a good middle between Souten and Kon Peki. It's a very bright day, maybe that's the difference. I freshened up the ink last night, kept the pen (FC Ambition EF) in a wooden box overnight... Still starts darker, maybe it's sediments instead of evaporation, but I still really like it. I'm under the impression paper might make a big difference for this ink, this notebook feels different from other Séyès notebooks. They should rename it the Callifolio Métamorphe 6 or something.

The main problem is once they evaporate and come out darker, Ama Iro, Kon Peki, Équinoxe 6 and in some measure Souten are really hard to tell apart. My bottle came from Jetpens, I'm already planning on getting the pouch from Vanness.

Your bright blue looks the same as my bright blue. But it isn't the same as Equinoxe (6). That ink is the same colour as the ink reviewed here.

My problem with this ink has now moved on in an unexpected direction.

I was tipping it out of my TWSBI bottle into a wide necked small bottle, before getting it into a plastic Diamine 30ml bottle to give away, when this large clump of SITB fell out. I capped the bottle I was tipping it into and shook it, in case it would dissolve it, but although it foamed up like washing up detergent, the large clump is still there. When I rinsed out what was left in my TWSBI bottle there were strands of "stuff" in the water that filled the sink.

I'm really sorry jmccarty3, but I can't send you this stuff, as I don't think it's safe for your pens. :(

Eww!!! No wonder there are so many "versions" of this ink out there! I need to check my bottle.

I've lost the will to live as far as Equinoxe (6) is concerned. :( Sadly, my Sheaffer Legacy loved it. :crybaby: My original sample that is.

Looks like somebody sneezed into it.

Eeew. I haven't dared to touch it because it's very staining ink. That clump will not separate at all, and is very thick. I wouldn't be surprised if it was packaging material from whatever the dye came in.

The manufacturer has now confirmed there was an original problem with the colour: "We found the problem that happened, it seems that there was an error of my colleague during the manufacturing which was wrong in one of the ingredients. We have isolated and recovered much of this poor manufacturing."

Holly cow! It's aliiiiiive! I think this ink is turning into your personal nemesis. No alien shape shifter mucus in mine, but it's fairly new.

Just checked my bottle. It's fine though, no SITB.

That's good news. :)

Mine was new too. I don't remember seeing that big blob fall into the TWSBI bottle when I emptied the pouch in, but I was pouring from a narrow opening into a large one then. -_-

As long as that thing didn't go "plop!" and make a giant mess...

No. Thank goodness for small mercies? -_- I had to get OH to take the photo though. He refused to hold the blob. :D
