Does anyone know if Nikko (=Eboya) sells their marble (?) ebonite rods to other makers? I'm wondering if there are any makers -- other than Eboya -- either in Japan or overseas, which have access to this style of pen blank:

I've never seen any non-Eboya pens made of this stuff or its color variants. As nice as the Eboya pens are, it would be cool to see some designs by other makers in this material too, which is why I'm asking. Thanks!

They were selling their ebonite rods at the LA Pen Show, if I recall correctly.

Thanks. I was at the LA Pen Show too. I saw the rods they had for sale at their table, but I don't recall seeing any of the "marble" ebonite.

Thanks. I just ordered a Lotus Vamza after seeing Hari's review, actually :)

The material here, however, is not Nikko's "marble ebonite" which I referenced. The marble ebonite might be an Eboya exclusive. I hope I'm wrong.

found this link selling the marbled rods, I am sure there are more...

Thanks! These are actually the ripple ebonite rods, which are different from the ones they refer to as marble ebonite. I've seen non-Eboya pens made using the ripple rods, but never the marble.

Sorry, just read the word marble, did not actually look at the rods.

Oddly I tried to order form Nikko today a rod but the like took me to a strange page.
