Not actually unusual; I have a few in my spares box. I have seen then on a variety of Swans - 1930s I believe.

For example I have just looked at one that is stamped M2 - obviously from a SM200/60 or similar

Thanks for replying Cob.

It's unusual to me because I'm still a novice, and I'm not in the habit yet of removing nib and feed from every pen I come across.

Ha ha! Yes, well if you continue, there are bound to be more surprises.

I have been working on pens all day today (and yesterday!). Two of them are Swan Leverless pens from the late 1930s, a L206/60 with stub nib and a 0160 with fine flex nib. Here are the two feeds: L206/60 on the left, 0160 on the right

In the early days, Swan did utilise some rather innovative? feed styles, pineapple feed springs to mind, not so common these days so perhaps not as successful as hope for.

Until recently I had a No 8 Safety Screw Cap pen. This had the "pineapple". I had to add a twisted wire to stop the thing gushing. It made all the difference and wrote really well then.

I've had this happen in the past where reducing by means of a wire or some such, the feed channel, and amount of too much air getting back into the barrel causing "flooding".

Frustrating problem to solve, until this easy fix occurs.
