Hello, I'm new to this forum. As a small introduction, I become a pen enthusiast around Jun 2017. I started with the Pelikan 100N. I have a total of 10 different pens.

Yesterday I bought a very interesting pen with a 14ct nib in the original box.

This is the least fountain pen I had in my hands....9,3 cm.I was surprised by the way the ink is filled.In my opinion, only pipette can be filled ... so I tried it.

Can someone tell me about this pen

Looks like a button filler missing its sack - probably a European clone of the Parker Duofold, maybe an Ingersol.

What does it say on the nib ? Looks like 'Warranted 14Karat' but I can't be sure.

I would ask in the 'Great Britain and Ireland' and 'Europe - Other Brands Forum' groups.

As AidenMark said it is a button filler. The button you show sits on the end of a pressure bar that runs down the side of the barrel. When you press the button down the bar deforms and presses against a rubber sac inside the barrel which is glued to the section with shellac.

 

An easy job to do once the barrel and section are separated. It probably has a screw fitting (just in case you are tempted to try and pull it out!). Sacs and pressure bars are fairly easy to obtain.

 

The nib looks Germanic in origin, possibly Osmia?, but everyone and his dog copied the original Duofold design! Are there any marks on the box or barrel (& sometimes cap) of the pen?

I do not know the brand of fountain pen that you have, and I can not tell you any more than others have already said. Most of the time when I purchase a "vintage" pen, I send it to someone who restores "vintage" pens.
