Robert Oster Green Diamond

Robert Oster is new player in fountain pen ink market. He operates worldwide through distributors. The inks are sold in 50 ml PET bottles with a tightly secure twist cap. I don't know who makes the inks for the shop, but the colors look interesting and fresh. At the moment Robert Oster inks are available in billion colors - I lost track how many.

Green Diamond is just another green. Not bad. Not exciting. The shading can be strong but there's way too many similar colors to impress me with this one. It's decent, well behaved ink. Drying time is reasonable, it doesn't feather on copy paper and doesn't cause any starting problems.

Hate the kind of colour shown on Field Notes. The colour on Tomoe River looks much more pleasing to me.

+1 on that.

I suspect I can pass on this ink. But thanks, as always, for the review.

I bet this is the color of Emerald City in the Wizard of Oz.

I'm not sure how to put this into words.... It's a mix of too bright and too aqua for me. The shading is all over the place, and where it doesn't pool, in the lighter parts, it looks watery and decidedly unappealing.

Thank you for the great review, Vis! This color just doesn't excite me. It isn't really dark enough to be a true emerald, but seems sort of anemic to me.

Not my type of green... but I appreciate the review. Before buying an ink, I typically take a look at the review index to find out whether I like it enough. Reviews like this save me money :-)
