I need a cap for a Waterman Patrician (if possible in BHR, but also may be in Celluloid). I would also buy an pen for restauration, so I can use the cap to complete my pen.

I was recommended to aks for someone who offers to repair the cap - lip.

 

At least one fissure goes under the golden band, so in Germany nobody risks to repair.

Most repairmen with a lathe can carry out this repair, cost around £30gbp, given the pen is black celluloid.

Hansjürgen,

There are always some risks the cap would crack doing this kind of repairs on old brittle materials

Important questions :

1-is the cap made from black Ebonite or black celluloid ?

2- How deep from the lip edge of the cap the inner threads start?

Hello,

my Waterman Patrician BHR now has been restored.

Francis adapted an existing celluloid cap, so that the Patrician has an intact cap again, even if is now a mix between BHR and celluloid.

 

Now I habe polished it and it looks attractive. I' ill show a photo later.

Thanks to Francis and thanks to everyone who advised me.

But I have another question: Does anyone know, when the material was switched from BHR to celluloid?
That must have been before 1929 / 30 or was it produced in parallel?
