Thanks for doing the review. I can't quite make out the color is it a brownish gray?

Thanks for this review. It looks exactly like what I saw in their own site a year ago. It was long ago promised to be sent to me but never arrived.

I wonder if this ink is not attempting to imitate the color of old-fashioned copying or indelible pencils. Those pencils used aniline dyes "which produced a stain that was bright purple, mauve, or some color in between, depending upon the manufacturer."

Looks like that. Gotta check with Dr. SK on that
