Another New Pelikan.....

I am looking forward to this release, and do plan to get the box set. But, just as with the m120 green-Black, I plan on fitting an older style M400 nib as I found that to be complimentary to the overall aesthetic of the pen. But it will need to wait until the M600 white-Turquoise has made its way into my flock.

I find the cornflower blue color of this pen very attractive, and have preordered one. If memory serves, Pelikan has not used this color before, and I'm particularly pleased that the entire pen is the same color.

Me too. My quandary is which ink to use in it?!

Such a dilemma...

How about Diamine Cornflower?

How about Diamine Cornflower?

Yes, a truly beautiful ink and one I use in my blue 800 italic broad.

Saw this pen this morning and couldn’t help myself as it looks beautiful. At least it’s my first purchase for the year.

I've had my green and black one with the EF nib continuously inked for about two months now and I have really enjoyed it quite a bit more than I thought I would. It's a great size (same as the M600 but a titch thinner) and writes quite well. This new Blue one might just be my first new Pelikan of the year as well.

Bill, I had a feeling this new blue one would break the "fast" for you! Looking forward to your thoughts about it in the future!!

I got mine on Saturday and it's a lovely pen. EF nib is very smooth and having spent some time deciding which ink to ust in it, I went for Pelikan Edelstein Topaz.

Oooh, where did you get it from? Who has it already? I was told they will be available end of March.

Well, I got mine from Niche/Pure Pens as it happens but The Writing Desk, also in the UK are showing stock too.

Lovely pens and a nice to the Green/Black one I bought a year or so ago.

Excellent picture. That's a great combination Captain, I may have to get a little Topaz to go in mine as well. I saw on Instagram that Niche had gotten theirs in stock...

What a gorgeous and lively blue. I would love to see a size comparison with an m400 and m600 if you get a chance!

Saw an announcement via The Pelikan's Perch for another Special Edition Pelikan for March release. The M120 in Iconic Blue

I used one before.

They don't write like no 140.

But they are nice pens.

Which vintage Pelikan nibs, if any, would work in this pen?

You could try any nib from the 400, 400N or 400NN range or some of the very early M400s are good.

I think the M400/400 nibs may have issues for the fact that they are big,

It may make capping the pen tough.

EDIT: Don't you think Pelikan just has a stash of old machinery?

... Waiting to be used to make such faithful reproductions?
