So i bought this parker (and a pilot short pen 2) on a whim because it was so inexpensive about $17 for the both of them. Now when i got the pen i was puzzled with the parker because in the cap it stated that it was a parker 21 but when i unscrewed the body i was shocked to see that it came with the standard 51 aerometric sac. The body didnt have any indication that it was a 51... I havent been able to take it apart since i left it at my dorm and im currently out of town, can anyone help me identify it?

Pictures would obviously help.

However, a 51 will have a groove around the clutch ring, the 21 clutch ring will be round un-grooved and raised.

Is the sac guard a full cover with the press filler or a hoop type?

Pictures would indeed help. The Super 21 had a variety of clutch rings, including the one with a depression in the middle associated with the 51. So we need to know more. The barrel of a Parker 51 doesn't bear any inscription saying that it belongs to a Parker 51. (At least mine don't.) Let's have a look at the pen.

The other point is that the cap of a 21, whether the plain or the Super, doesn't fit a 51 barrel. If this pen has a cap and barrel that seem to fit together, and the cap says "21," then the pen seems rather unlikely to be anything else.

On my 21, the clutch ring was actually 2 pieces that interlock. I discovered this when I was trying to put the pen back together and couldn't, and discovered that one ring of the clutch ring had gone down the drain.... :o (Fortunately, it hadn't been washed away entirely and was found in the trap, in spite of its extremely light weight.)

Here is how a Parker 51 would look with a parker S21 cap and vice versa ie a Parker S21 with a Parker 51 cap. In fact the caps of both pens were swapped for the purpose of taking this picture. Obviously the longer pen is the P51 with a 21 cap.

I have concluded that its a parker 51 inside the body of a 21

I don't think so. The barrel of a 21/S21 wouldn't fit a 51. The cap of a 21/S21, however, would fit but would not sit on the 51 as deep as its own (51) cap would.

Definitely a parker 51 (hood, barrel and filler) minus the cap which belongs to a 21.

Edited to add:

You just have to source a 51 aero standard size cap. Rest every thing is P51 standrad.
