Restored A Vintage Pelikan Today

Is it a gusher with Waterman ink?

 

(Inspired blue was my first ink bottle... Pilot black was my first FP ink ever, and Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue was my first cart ink.)

 

Pen puts a wet line, but I will not call it a gusher. It is a F nib, and it writes finer, unlike other western F pens. I have M600 newer one in EF nib, and I can say both 400NN with F nib and M600 with EF nib, are same.

Love to see how your 400NN writes. Regardless of the size, flex, ball, or stub, every 400 nib I have tried writes beautifully.

They exist. I have a 400 tortoise shell with a "OM" nib that is an absolute firehose. My other pelikans are much more well behaved. When I have them all inked up I'll try to take some photos of them with some writing samples.

I have one of my 400 just like that. A gusher; a real firehose.
