Z24, 26, Or 28

picked up some Lx from the distributor's sale.

So I need converters. I have a few Z24, but they seem to "choke" at times and need to be fiddled with.

Which is the best converter for these pens?

(Right now I am going with this pen type for work, does well on the cheap paper, and snap cap is great in hectic Hospital)

Also, what is a good source of italic nibs? (Really regret missing gold nibs on ths sale)

Cheers,

Adam

Lamy Z24 (old model) and Z28 (new redesigned model) are meant for this pen series. The two pins clip into the grip section and provide a secure fit for the converter. It's the same system like in the Safari and AL-Star.

If converter is problematic, just use old empty cartridges refilled using a syringe. It's totally mess free method I always use.

I'd go with the red Z28 for the added securement of those two pins that click into place. It's what I use in my Al Star and Safari.

I only use the black Z26 for my Vista because it looks better in the demonstrator.

Even for that there is a solution.

Some disassembly and assembly required. ;)

You can disassemble it?

I was worried it would break.

Yes, you have to pull the metal ring off backwards. It's easier with the Z26, as it has two slits underneath. The Z24 is harder to pull, but manageable. I recomment to wear rubber glows for more grip.

Then you can pull the piston out and interchange the parts you want. Even the front seal could be removed. There is a tutorial online...

Ah, there. Mr. Goulet shows us how it is done.
