Writing with EEFs, this has become my absolute favorite blue-black. It's terrific for note-taking, correspondence and just doodling. Looks great on light beige card stock and stationery. The only ink in my pens more frequently than this is Noodlers FPN Starry Night, which I consider to be a black-blue.

Thanks for this review, it inspired me to give it another go. The bottle had languished at the back of the draw for years because I recalled it being a rather dull, flat, greyish blue - rather uninteresting.

 

Well, tastes change! in a wet M600 it now seems an excellent blue black, similar to Edelstein Tanzanite but a touch more blue. Indeed, a better blue black than Diamine's "official" attempt which has never done it for me.

 

Now, I know you think it is blue, not BlBk and I certainly agree there is a difference between dark blue and BlBk and that Midnight is blue. But just what constitutes blue black is a puzzling question. I shall begin the research with a set of samples from each of my blue / blue black inks and start a thread.

I suppose everyone has their own opinions on exactly where a dark blue becomes a blue-black
