It's almost exactly 4 weeks since my date of payment. I have yet to receive any shipping information via email. Normally, would you email the customer their tracking number and shipping date before their pen goes into the postal system? Or is it a case of 'just wait till your pen shows up in the mailbox'?

I don't suppose you could include the larger 8B model in the next group buy, could you Mr Kandan? - maybe with some of the new Premium ebonite options too??

I'm waiting impatiently for the 8B group buy too.

I hope Mr Kandan is listening :)

After taking a slight detour and staying at customs for about two weeks, my pen arrived on Friday. I ordered a Model 3c in polished Teal Blue Black Ripple Ebonite. The pen is very well made as always.

This is the pen i have ordered this Time:

Thank you M.P. Kandan for this Group Buy. I really like your Ebonite pens and i think its nice to have a pen that was made by hand just for you.

Hi everyone! I am writing to seek some advice from you fine folks, many of whom have more experience with Ranga pens than my limited experience.

I have a few Ranga Eyedroppers and have noticed an ink starvation problem that seems common to them all. The nib and feed are Kanwrite. I've noticed that after I've written a page, the pen starts starving off ink and the ink that the nib lays down becomes significantly lesser. The nib starts drying up. When I next use the pen after an hour, the pen writes wet again for another page and then again the ink starvation problem occurs.

Any advice in this regard would be much appreciated as I otherwise love the pens. Thanks in advance!

I'm presuming you've tried using different inks with the pens? Otherwise...watching and waiting for a reply to this with interest.

Forcibly flush the nib and feed with water, maybe with a drop of dish detergent added to a glass of water... using ear bulb. If that does not fix the problem, maybe try to widen the slit between the tines. Work gently! Once you've flushed them, try to get the nib&feed to dry a bit, then prime.

I find that most of my Rangas profit by this treatment occasionally.

Abuomar - most certainly I've tried different inks and brands like J. Herbin, Iroshizuku and Diamine.

Thank you mhguda for your kind suggestions. I shall implement these and see how the pens fare thereafter.

I received my customized Ranga 4c in bakul black ebonite a few days ago. I say "customized" in that I requested that the grip be no narrower than 12mm and that the total capped length be less than 5.5". Well, Mr. Kanden did a flawless job. I own pens many times this price that I can find flaws with but not this one. The finish is perfect. There are no gaps anywhere. All fitting are perfect. When the cap is tightened to within 1/2 turn, it has an added resistance that almost feels like a bayonet mount. That Mr. Kanden was able to accommodate my requests at no extra time, fees, nor discussion, is testament to his artistry.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't see the pictures.

I also got mine a few days ago (it was in the country 2 weeks prior, but things take time here..). I love the design, but not gonna lie, it's thicker than I expected it. :D I prefer #5 nibs, but unfortunately it wan't an option (hope it'll be for the bamboo model at some point, because that is kind of a dream pen for me right now :D). The pen is well balanced, not heavy at all and it's smooth AF (excuse my French). I keep fondling it which must look weird. :D

The converter is currently shut tight into its place, I haven't dared to use more force than I usually use yet, but once the ink is gone I will have to try to remove it. Hopefully I won't break it.

Another little problem, and I think it is little, is that the nib touches the inside of the cap when I close it properly. I don't think it'll damage the nib, but we'll see. It was't visible when the pen wasn't inked, only after it.

Overall it is a very nice pen and it's a comfortable writer, I keep reaching for it when I make random notes. Looking forward to long term experience with it.

Neither can I.

Thanks for the photos of your lovely clear Model 4 with the Pelikan M205, really shows off the true size of this beast. Hope that nib and cap-touching issue is able to be resolved! I'm waiting for my Model 4C. Hoping my nib will be smooth AF as well :D
