Pen Bbs 308 “Ice”

Bought on a whim off of eBay while I waited for my Falcon sef.

 

About the size of a Jinhao x750. Super light feel in hand, almost feeling fragile.

 

Looks beautiful, just like ice😊

 

I twists in 2 turns and the threads are not noticeable. It comes with a cartridge converter (I wouldnt attempt eyedropping for fear of staining. But looks like it can be done)

 

Nib looks to be a #6 fine. Writes medium fine on Rhodia paper using Noodlers red black.

Penbbs pens are always well built and perform well in my experience

The build quality is great. Very smooth finish and the threads are not noticed even when lightly brushing over it.

 

Pen is very light to the point that I would be afraid to drop it.

 

No skipping or hard starts when writing.

 

Im testing with Noodlers red-black ink and it writes wet. Nib is Fine but in this ink pairing it writes as a fine-medium.

 

Same ink in both examples. So I would conclude that this writes wet

that penbbs nib is a little more than an M, it's a pseudo architect, f/m downstrokes and M/B cross.

Which example are you referring to? I should clarify also that the middle lines are the Penbbs and the top and bottom are the noodlers nib (no pressure and with pressure)

Not sure when though since the local post office have decided to have a $18 fee on packages from China from now on :-(

So it won't be until I can afford to buy all the pens I want from some retailer that stocks it.

I recently got the 308 in green. The build quality is excellent. It's similar to a Lingmo Lorelei but larger, with a no. 6 nib which comes with a slight fude upturn and medium-fine point.

That's quite interesting. Is it $18 per package? One choice is probably to use some mail forwarding service and they will pack everything nicely in one package.
