Yours,
Randal

From a person's actions, we may infer attitudes, beliefs, --- and values. We do not know these characteristics outright. The human dichotomies of trust and distrust, honor and duplicity, love and hate --- all depend on internal states we cannot directly experience. Isn't this what adds zest to our life?

Fun with this one. Note to self: Nemosine nib, not Goulet on the Konrad. And center in the light!

Stompie...nice Gothicized italic?

 Thanks! Not too sure what it is, I just write as I feel on the day.

For this week, some poetry:

It is difficult to know at what moment love begins; it is less difficult to know that it has begun.

Stompie, have fun with the Parallel Pens!

This is my first attempt at a circular calligraphy composition. Also, sorry about the typo, erroneous "began" instead of "begun."

@RoyalBlueNotebooks: Wow, that's great work -- and precise!

Enjoy,

Andrew...beautiful illustration as always....How long did it take you for one portrait?

Thanks. It was from half an hour to several days, depending on the size of the sketch. There is a small size (A4), I think about half an hour - an hour, did not look at the clock :).

RoyalBlueNotebooks: Great work! On thick paper I use a blade to remove mistake india ink, but on the notebook sheet you can use the corrector (temporarily).

Winsor and Newton Carmine ink

Joseph Gillot 404 pointed nib

on Clairefontaine Seyes paper, which did not play well with the nib or ink!

We didn't get a quote last week from Inky Fingers. :o

Can I suggest this for this week?

Are we quite sure that we in England have not formed our ideas of the 'station' of working people from accustoming ourselves to the contemplation of that class as they are, and not as they might be?

Charles Dickens - American Notes.
