Converter Search - Cartier Must De Trinity Vermeil

Am looking for a converter (any brand that will work) for an older Cartier pen - the Must de Trinity Vermeil model. I prefer to use a converter, instead of using the cartridges (that usually refill with a small syringe).

 

The local Cartier shop sent it to their main store, and they could not provide a new converter, or even recommend where to get one, so looking for another converter from Jet Pens or another source, once I can find out what converter will fit this model.

 

Would much appreciate any recommendations. Thank you.

 

About me - For day to day, I like my Pilot Vanishing Point, preference for the medium nib, but have another with fine point that just smoothed using about 6000 grid emory board. Had been given my first vanishing point (Namiki) fountain pen years back, and like worrying less about likelihood of leaking after inadvertent cap opening, as with other pens.

First, welcome home. Pull up a stump and set a spell. IIRC that pen is cartridge only. The mini converter from Monteverde, Kaweco or Rosetta MIGHT fit but they all hold far less ink than the cartridge.

I just did a Google search and found a "Mint" model listed on e-bay with an apparent converter (had to arrow to the right), but no image of it separate from the pen.

I will have to take the pen with me to the "big city" and see if can try a Monteverde, Kaweko, or Rosetta mini-converter will fit with an adequate seal.

Meantime, it will be the cartridges that will refill as am too frugal to be spending about a dollar / cartridge.

Remember it will use ANY International Standard cartridge. Diamine cartridges are usually about half that price and the NoNami cartridges even cheaper. Plus the issue will not be the converter sealing but rather whether there is room for the sucker when the plunger is extended.

I purchased a couple of Monteverdi mini-converters and filled one with my Waterman ink this weekend. It readily fits within the body of the pen and there is no problem with leakage.

Next time I'm at the mall with the Cartier store I'll share the information with them. A good $5 investment for two mini-converters, plus some Monteverde lavender ink. Far preferable to the higher price Cartier cartridges. Thanks to Kelsi at the Goulet Pen Company, and thank you Jar.
