Hello From The Big Apple

Hello,

As you guys have probably guessed I am from the big apple NYC. I just inherited a bunch of old fountain pens from my grandfather. I have been doing a lot of research lately and I would love to start in this awesome hobby! I still don't have a starter pen and some ink because all of my grandfathers are very nice and some of them need repairs. but I can't wait to get my hands on something and try it out!

Heirloom fountain pens are very special. Your grandfather's pens are to be cherished. If there are many, you might consider having them restored and given as gifts to family. In any case, I hope they can be returned to service.

 

What do you currently use for daily writing ? As a first fountain pen, the Pilot Metropolitan is an excellent experience.

I just actually bought last night a lamy lx, lamy is having a crazy sale on some of their pens so I picked one up for under 25 bucks. so hopefully that would be the one that I daily use for now. hopefully, I can restore some pens so I can use them. but we will see. I really can't spend a lot of money on restoring them.
