Thank you for the images!

It looks great, with the Honoré de Balzac Dandy Turquoise ink.

Magnificent blue hour skeleton! And O3B is one of my very favorites, so I am biased -- but the whole thing is simply fabulous. Enjoy and congratulations!

Finally I got the nib exchanged - and joined the club

Looks amazing Axis! I am so happy that you like it so much. Try Homer Greek Blue- its wonderful on this nib.

The closest ink to the original Blue Hour BTW is Waterman Mysterious Blue. It even changes color in the same exact way from the beginning blue to the dried teal. Identical I would say.

Thanks you all for your kind words - it is really a fantastic nib for this pen. I was very late with this purchase (this spring) and still wonder about myself that I did not buy it when it was released....

I had never tried the Honore de Balzac ink before and I must admit that I like it lot. Greek-Blue will be the next on my list for this pen, the bottle is already opened ;-)

Excellent choice. I just love the celluloid 14x series, and yours looks like it is in great condition. Also, what a wonderful nib.

Hello hello,

First of all: I really have to appologize for posting this only a few posts after a wonderful Skeleton was shown and Tom Kellie posted an amazing piece just before:

I started 2018 with very good MB purchase - a Meisterstück Ultra Black 146. Boy, this is a excellent pen and it did a fantastic job this year. So today I closed my pen year with a complete different purchase. I could not resist and broke three of my rules with one single purchase:

1.) Buy fountain pens.

2.) Buy always black pens.

3.) Do not buy overpriced stuff. (Okay, this one is kind of weird when you are talking about MB.)

Sometimes something is definitely overpriced. And sometimes you know this. And in just a few cases you dont care:

1.) It is a ballpoint.

2.) It is red. Yes, a bright and flashy red.

3.) It is a Montblanc M. (Some might say the useless and arrogant version of LAMY safari.)

But I really have to admit: Yes, I love it!

Here you find some quick shots:

And finally two last photos with my second overpriced writing instruments of 2018:

Thank you very much. And again, sorry for this posting. ;-)

For 2018 I bought 3 264's in OM , B and OB , one 254 in F , a 334 1/2 ( Which BROKE ) with a steel OB and a 1950's 142 with the two tone nib reground to a super smooth flexi OB . Black barrel has faded to a red/amber see through , kills collector value I guess but looks great to me . Also two cartridge/ converter pens whose model numbers I do not know , both obliques one OM and one OF .

When they're in use, I swoon.

Such outstanding writers.
