Exactly! It's been my grail pen for decades. Since it already has a blemish, I won't be too paranoid about taking this out on a daily basis.

Who cares about chips if they’re good writers and still the pens of our dreams?

The post office really delivered today! Got a 146, 144, 145 and a Hemingway that needs a new piston and has a small chip on it's cap.

Ah, the Hemingway... It is so much a timeless classic, that you could not say at first sight if it is a modern or a vintage pen.

Have a look at that beautiful clip, the work they had to do on it at Hamburg to have it matte, not shiny. Look at the dark " espresso" color of your cap and the cone... Enjoy the color of the body, this rich orange, no, coral, no, this subdued orange, or coral, well, it depends on the light... And that huge, decorated but simple nib (I like so much that the Hemi has not a "proprietary" nib, but a standard number 9), how it makes the pen sleek but imposing...

Ah, dear Fountaipencrazy, CON-GRA-TU-LA-TIONS! You will never be tired of her... Enjoy it in good health.

Completely unexpected, but most welcome. 20% and geodesigner's excellent pictures in the Petit Prince thread pushed me to purchase a similar resin Le Grande with a B nib.

+1 on the unexpected and welcome. Congrats on the Le Petit Prince!

Hard to pass those LCdC discounts. So, I've also got one with an OB nib.

A nice find arrived today: a Meisterstück 128 S :-)

Needs a new cap lip but otherwise looks great. Shows some normal wear but I guess thats ok for a pen of that age ;-)

Congratulations Michael. That is a pretty great find. Is the nib #6 size or larger? I cannot tell from the photo.

A pre-loved Oppenheim 888. Strongly considering that I send it to Dan to get a cursive italic treatment

Dan Smith isn't taking on new work at the moment; I just checked as I had two pens (not MBs) I wanted to send him. They are with Mark Bacas now.

Well, HELLO! That is one gorgeous pen. I'd buy one of those in a New York minute.

Was pretty ambivalent about the Fitzgerald until recently... the fat nib on this one has won me over. It's a great writer!

Thank you friends. It is indeed a beautiful piece. I love how it is heavy and yet balanced.

The details are incredible and the nib is beautiful.

John Mottishaw worked on my Nakaya and the cursive italic nib he created was incredible. Might send it his way.

I did take a few good pics today but I have gotten so lazy in processing them on my dslr.. so unlike me.

ITs BEA U TIFUL!

wow! nice... you don't see those very often
