Lam1, that is a fantastic pen! I'm so happy for you that it came in perfect condition :D Maybe 2018 will be a fresh page, eh?

Only problem is, my "wanter" has a new pen to obsess about...

Congrats on a beautiful pen!

Thank you, BillH!

I sure hope 2018 is a fresh page.

And I'm glad to contribute to your wish list :D .

I’m AWESOME at spending other people’s money. B)

Seriously, it’s great to spread the sheer joy of writing with these pens.

Don't I know it! MB should give you a commission for every OBBB sold! ;)

The USPS brought you a great beginning for the New Year.

Thank you for posting the very nice images and handwriting sample.

It's easy to see why it's an instant favorite.

Interestingly, both you and Zdanek in Prague have received Platinum 149 OBBBs this week and both of you inked with Montblanc Irish Green.

Having also done that, I understand and share in your joy at using such an outstanding fountain pen.

Yes, BillH's posts are especially enjoyable to read. Ghost Plane has been enthusiastically advocating broader nibs and serving fresh cookies for far longer than yours truly ever began using a Montblanc pen.

We're delighted to welcome you to the growing “OBBB Group”, hoping that you'll have as much fun writing with yours as we have with ours.

Tom K.

Thank you, Tom K.

The OBBB is, indeed, a lot of fun.

MB Irish green is a favorite of mine. But, I must say, after seen all the sheen in the Beatles ink, my intention was to use the psychedelic purple ink. Sadly, the seller forgot to include it in the package.

The Dumas has a Medium nib - I didn't have any choice on that nib. But it is a nice very wet writer, just the way I like it.

The M1000 indeed has a EF  - I bought it in the first month of the pen obsession collecting. But, it is a wonderful wet writer and also a favorite (I'm working on getting one with a B nib ;) ).

Thanks, I had owned a platinum and resin version previously, but I didn't love it. The cool blue is much better.

Only B in my case. :)

Sorry for my careless error.

As it happens, yeepers has posted a great image of her Platinum 149 OBBB.

It seems that Platinum 149s with broader nibs are increasing.

There’s nothing ONLY about an MB B nib.

~ Ghost Plane:

Enjoying these images of recently acquired Montblanc broader nibs, including B, it's more like:

If only...

They're not only beautiful, they also write like a dream.

Not a big error, Tom. Considering I have got two 149-Pt, one with OBB nib and that new one with B nib, you are right. OBB + B = OBBB. What else? :)

Have a great time.

None

By far the cheapest BMW accessory I have ever purchased. I bought a lot of ink over the holidays. too much free time and too many sales.
