What's Your Most Recent Mb Purchase? 2018

Thanks m8 .. I think I would be using this for a while before sending it in. The nib is pre-loved and glides so well on paper already. Plus, I have a half dozen pens getting nib changes right now so I really want to see how good MB does before I send this treasure in.

Solid plan if the nib is already that good. It's an amazing looking pen you just bought.

Montblanc Meisterstück Special Edition Classique M Nib — “Les Splendeurs de Paris

~ This pen arrived after having been packed in luggage by a botanical researcher returning from a family visit to France, who then shipped it to me.

It's a smooth writer without any flaws. During the coming academic year it will be frequently used for rapid note-taking in meetings.

This was bound to happen, finally got around getting my 2nd Heritage 1912 in a B nib. I always said if there's any pen other than the 149 one must have several pieces of, it is this wholeheartedly.

Also picked this up tonight. I totally did not intend to and had endeavored to avoid, but when I held it in my hand- its very, very heavy- it screamed quality when compared to the previous iterations. The feel of the titanium colored silver and the heft of the pen was too tempting.

May the 1912 B nib be a cherished writer for you.

Thank you for the images of the pen nib showing the spider with the date on its body.

It's very helpful to see such photos for those distant from Montblanc boutiques.

You had a profitable visit to your boutique!

OM or OF? It looks too fine to be OB or wider.

I have an OM MB22 that is writing very nicely for me. I wish it were a 24 as the slightly larger size would suit my hand better, but of course posting the cap helps. The two-digit MBs and close relatives (e.g. 220) are really great little pens.

Is it stated on the nib anywhere? Currently it is writing like an OM.

I don't think it's stated anywhere except on the original packaging and a sticker on the pen. You can measure the width of the tipping at the writing surface, however. My OM is about 0.8 mm, an OB might be 1.0 mm and an OF perhaps 0.6 millimeters.

Looking forward to the photos, Cyrille. I am curious about the sizes. I wonder how the Spider 1906 compares with my 149.

Congratulations, Pravda. I know how the feel when holding the weighty 1906 edition spider in hands. I already own black F, coral M, and 1906 B snakes, and 1912 B, since I still prefer large pens and more important I don't have the budget, I may pass the spider.
