I kid you not. At the place we rented for a few months before moving here, the neighbour was obsessive about removing every leaf from his excessively-cut struggling grass, and also frequently (couple of times a week) used his lawn mower to pick up leaves from the entire road sections outside his own corner block overlapping to adjacent blocks. We have photos of him mowing down the centre line of the bitumen road. We gently persuaded him he did not need to do the road outside our place. He looked a little disappointed, but thanked us for being nice (strong implications pre-rental owners had been less calm), and mostly restrained his incursions until near the time we were leaving.
