Tom, it is a delight to see your smiling face in your element, a MB Boutique! I was not aware of the lapis lazuli ink; thanks for sharing the color in real life with your accompanying observations.

~ Yours truly has made a major blooper...a first-order error.

This is an example of a great big OOPS! from sheer inattention and carelessness.

The handwriting sample of Montblanc Chinese Blue is written with a 14C 1959 149 BBB, not with a Red Gold 149 OBBB.

I should have realized when I was enjoying the crisp, wide strokes which the lovely BBB writes.

My apologies to all for the misinformation. I noticed the error this morning when selecting pens for other photos.

Thank you for your very kind comment.

Despite having never been there, the visits (two days in succession) to the Shenzhen MixC Montblanc Boutique was a homecoming, of sorts.

The Montblanc Lapis Lazuli impressed me so much that I returned the next day for a second bottle...and for the two inks above.

Inks are for use on my writing desk, therefore it seems best to describe them in practical terms, rather than as collectibles.

Others are experts with refined tastes in both fountain pens and inks, while I'm more of an idle sketcher, doodler and lackadaisical writer.

My inks and fountain pens are primarily for fun, with a bit of work slipped in here and there.

Tom,

Could you please write with all the colors in a single page to see how one compares to the other?

They all look to be terrific, and my pens are itching to let the ink flow onto the page!

~ Reed_thoughts:

All Montblanc blue ink handwriting samples below were written with the same fountain pen during the same morning.

The Montblanc Red Gold 149 OBBB did the honors, as it's a crisp writer.

I hope that this comparison might be useful to you and to other FPN Montblanc Forum friends.
