2 am Moon

Tom,

Thank you for your kind words and stunning photograph of the moon. Yes, the 50th anniversary of the moon landing is an event with special meaning to me. Both my father and my father-in-law were very involved with all of the Apollo missions and others in the quality control and quality assurance areas. Many may not recall but the Fischer Space Pen was the main pen being used at the time because it would literally write anywhere. But, I am thrilled that Montblanc has produced a pen to commemorate the moon landing! Now, I just need to save up a bit more - or sell some other pens - to get one.

It continues to be a reliable OBBB writer.

The piston knob remains exquisitely smooth.

A quiet treasure on the writing desk.

It's a lovely pen with a banded green resin that is very deep in colour and richness. It's a good bit heavier than most WE's.

Hey Tom!

Thanks for the note, I think i can speak for all of us, we LOVE your handwritten notes. As for the empty slot, its not really empty...! I currently have 19 MB pens, and this tray holds 8, and i have a pen box that holds 11... so every slot is taken. I just laid down the pens i thought would make a nice bright and colorful composition... Notice how Twain, a dark blue, is in between the bright silver/grey of the Leonardo and next to the UNICEF, so visually it looks brighter... The same story is with Peggy... while its a "black" pen, it has a beautiful red finial, and it was placed between the white Maecenas, and the colorful beatles as to visually make the red and the silver pop.

The middle of the tray is the Crown Jewel of Leonardo, and the colorful beatles as to be the center stage for the photo...

Michael, what are the pens in your wishlist? I do feel very fortunate to have these amazing and beautiful writing instruments. :D

PS: I am glad you guys like the photo! :D

I love visiting this thread! All of your photography is stunning and very satisfying. Tom Kellie, I love the photos of the pens with the flowers. Reed_thoughts, what a fantastic group! What is the MB in your photo that is on the far left? it appears Roman? It isn't Hadrian, so it must be older? Just love them all.
