At the ready, but not used, was the M405 Stresemann, B nib, with (I think) 4001 Brilliant Black in it. I think it's getting low on ink, and am trying to decide whether to dump it and flush, and put something else in, or refill with distilled water to dilute it but keep the pen running, or what....

Today I'm using the beautifully restored 1948 Tuckaway Valiant I had to drive to the PO to retrieve.

 

How tiny it is! Slightly smaller than the TD Tuckaway but distinctly larger than my M300s and the tapered end makes posting more necessary than on those.

 

The filling mechanism seems to be working well and I've inked it with 1864 Blue-black which comes out slightly darker than the PaperMate stick pen I've been using it in, more like the "too dark" color people mention in reviews.

 

The nib is very smooth and I've written about a full page in my little ink journal so far - I'm off tonight so that's about the extent I'll do today. All in all, I'm very pleased with it.

TWSBI Diamond 580AL Rose (fine nib) with first Diamine Chocolate Brown ink, and then when that finally ran out and I could try my new ink for Christmas Diamine Scribble Purple ink. Gorgeous writer, and easy to load with ink. My main workhorse pen now, even if it’s not my absolute favourite pen.
