What Pens Are You Using Today 2019

Today I am using a Sheaffer Snorkel Statesman with a medium Palladium Silver nib, and it is filled with Diamine Delamere Green ink.

If you notice, the blind cap is burgundy and the rest of the pen is black. I replaced the sac and seals a while back, and the I could not get the original black blind cap to attach securely. Now I have a black American made Snorkel with an Australian made burgundy blind cap. If anyone has a black blind cap they would be willing to sell/trade I would appreciate it, if not this is going to be one unique Snorkel for the rest of it's life!

Three Moonman S1 pens:

Purple with Italix M-italic nib, purple custom mix (1:1 Platinum Pigment Blue + Rose Red)

Pink marble with Jinhao 992 two-tone nib, dark green custom mix (1:1 Sailor Storia Balloon Green + De Atramentis Document Urban Grey)

Gray with "Lucky" 14K nib, De Atramentis Document Urban Grey

All are eyedroppered. The gray S1 is like a nebula. Beautiful. I didn't think much of the original nibs.

My new Pelikan M405 Star Ruby, with matching Edelstein Star Ruby.

--Her name is Brandy. She has a 14K M405 B Stub nib, reground by John Mottishaw.

My also new Sailor 1911S Stormy Sea, with Kaweco Paradise Blue.

--Her name is Audrey. She has a 14K Zoom Architect's nib, reground by John Mottishaw.

My fairly new TWSBI Diamond Mini AL Mint Blue, with Sailor #264 (perfect match, BTW). :P

--Her name is Maddie. She has a factory steel 1.1 mm Stub nib, tuned slightly by me.

My new Sailor Pro Gear Slim Red Supernova, with Edelstein Star Ruby.

--Her name is Nova (not very imaginative, I know). She has a 14K B nib. No tuning needed.

I've been spending too much on pens lately. Please don't tell my husband. I have a problem.

Secret's safe.

Now, take some time to get to know your new friends. :D

Kaweco burgundy Sport Classic, M nib, black ink from unidentifiable old cartridge. I was frustrated with this pen for years but recently flossed

its feed and nib into decent behavior.

Impressive Fred, the Stipula Iris is another Stipula I've never seen in the flesh!

It has a retractile nib and a clip up front like the Pilot Capless...and the body is celluloid I assume?

Today I’ve managed to scrawl with a Sailor Realo (M nib), Pelikan M1000 (F), and a Wahl Eversharp Decobank with the flex nib. I am blessed.

Yes 'tis celluloid { called Hazelnut } and the clip can rotate..to suit your taste re: position....Have one with a fine nib..another with a 52° nib {triple broad to my eye}...

SMIVCcW.jpgI've been doing some calligraphy practice (chickenscratch 101) with a Swan snakeskin that I have just re-sacked. It's a gorgeous little pen. I must admit to having underestimated Swans in the past - this is both a real looker, and a great user pen too.

I posted this picture in another forum some days ago, but why not here too? I'm still using this pen and ink combo.

So far today it's been the M120 Iconic Blue, M nib, with Edelstein Star Ruby, and I'm about to use the ebonite Konrad, flex nib, with Sailor Souboku because I have to write some checks (and it may be a fun combo to use later today when I go vote. But I suspect that l I will also end up filling a pen or two because of all the cool inks I got at the Ohio Pen Show over the weekend....
