Nakaya Portable in Aka-tamenuri, MF nib, filled with Pelikan Topaz.

Platinum 3776 Bourgogne, B modified to a Pendleton Brown CI, filled with Monteverde Horizon Blue.

Several times this week I also carried my Pelikan M800, M modified to a PB CI, filled with Diamine November Rain; and a

Leonardo Blue Hawaii with a steel B modified to a PB CI, filled with Pelikan Tanzanite.

Superb pens.

By the time I carefully read this post, it was too late to edit. My Nakaya Portable has a soft medium nib, not an MF nib. Not sure what I was thinking...if I was thinking.

Today it's been the new TWSBI 580-ALR Purple, 1.1 mm stub, with Diamine Shimmer Arabian Nights, and the Sailor Pro-Gear Slim Purple Cosmos, zoom nib, with Iroshizuku Yama-guri.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I just filled up my Blue Carbonesque Vanishing Point (18K) with a new fill of Iroshizuku Fuyu-syogun. It is very light ink, and at one time I would have flushed the whole bottle down the sink, but my tastes have evolved and it appears that the ink will be a new favorite of mine - it shades nice.

no fancy pen today... :)

I'm using a plain Pelikan M200 old style (derby cap), although the OB steel nib makes it special nonetheless,

it's lost some of it's gold plating but the way it writes is so great!

it's the grey one at the bottom

Franklin-Christop Model 45 in Ghost (love that little pen, and my hands are small enough to use it unposted). And always, my Pilot VP.

Three among my favourite modern pens are in action at present: Aurora 88 'Ottantotto' and S T Dupont Line D Atelier purple lacquer (both large size), and a 1990s Waterman Man 100 Patrician in a green lacquer. There is also a pen which loses out only because there are other Pelikans I like even more than this one, an M400 tortoise from the late 1980s. It looks sort of cute beside the three big pens.
